The group started its humble beginning as ship chandlers in early 60's serving Pakistan National Shipping Corporation and Pan Islamic Steamship Corporation on a regular basis. It included Ocean Maritime Limited in its portfolio in early 70's and became one of the leading Stevedores by establishing its commitments to professionalism with integrity. OML boasts a clientele of various Government Agencies including Fertilizer Imports Dept., Ministry of Food & Agriculture, Rice Export Corporation of Pakistan, etc. and has handled wide array of cargos at Karachi Port.

Further strengthing its activities, OGC established shipping agency in late 70's by the name of Seagold, and has served several hundreds of tramp and liners vessels efficiently in Karachi. The group also entered into container depot operations, freight forwarding, and other shipping related activities under the same name.

Shahzad Estates Limited ushered OGC into Real Estate business setting up new standards in real estate development. SEL launched a huge town planning project in metropolis of Karachi and later completed various residential and commercial projects in different parts of the city. Ocean Pyramid Developers is the latest venture of OGC setting out to create excellence in construction field. OPD is launching a residential/commercial project on the seashore of Karachi.

Pursuing its policy of progress through diversity, OGC has recently established a state-of-the-art chemical manufacturing plant in Karachi with Chinese and American collaboration. The one of its kind plant in Pakistan, manufactures calcium carbide of International standard which is well acknowledged by its customers.
