Both of the companies have the extensive experience of handling all sorts of bagged, bulk, palletised and containerised cargo. The companies own the most sophisticated equipment for handling bulk cargos including state-of-the-art pneumatic discharging and bagging units by Richard Simons, fully automatic discharging and bagging plants by Vigan, and Hydraulic Grabs to efficiently and expediently discharge wide array of bulk cargos such as Fertilizer, Sulphur, Wheat, Coal, Iron Scrap, Pigiron, etc. OML and OMCL through its dedicated, highly professional and seasoned team members have become one of the most highly recommended stevedores to handle bulk cargoes at both the ports of Pakistan. Seagold primarily started as Shipping Agents to handle Tramp and Liner vessels at Karachi Port in 1978. Later the company entered into the Container Depot and Leasing business and became the Depot Operators for M/s Transamerica Leasing Inc. (one of the worlds largest container leasing company) in early 80s. Through its dedication over the years Seagold has earned a reputation for efficiency and excellent customer service. Its container workshop is manned with skilled labourers and is managed under highly experienced IICL certified Managment. The company uses the most modern information technology for correspondence and has implemented EDI in its office, using Cedex services International's software for data/file transmission. It also keeps upgrading its system with changing needs of I T. Currently, the company has a capacity for storage and repair of 2000 TEUS in its self owned and operated depots near Karachi Port and it has purchased further 5 Acres of land to develop a modern container depot near Port Qasim which will increase the capacity by further 4000 TEUS. SGL is also actively engaged in container sales and purchases. Apart from shipping,chartering, and container leasing business, SGL is actively involved in General Commodity Trading like Palm Oil Imports, imports of consumer goods, and exports of fresh fruits, vegetables and Rice. Town Planners, Builders and Real Estate Developers Shahzad Estates was formed in 1986 and launched a huge town planning project in the following year. The company setup a truly professional and high-class standards in Real Estate Development. The project comprised of developing 139 Acres of plain land into a Township, with all the basic facilities from roads, water lines, sewerage lines to parks, school and shopping area, etc. The project was successfully completed and handed over to its clients. The company is planning to announce a small-unit township on an area of 40 acres in near future.
